House robber nabbed in Manors

The man stole a laptop, accessories as well as a wallet.

A MANORS house robbery suspect was arrested and the stolen goods were retrieved by quick-thinking armed response officers.

According to the operations director and Blue Security’s spokesman, Brian Jackson, officers spotted the suspect while on patrol at about 5am yesterday (24 March).

“A pursuit ensued and, although the suspect put up a fight, officers managed to apprehend him. He divulged he had taken the goods from an open window at a Blue client’s home in Beare Street. The alarm was not activated at this time,” said Jackson.

The man stole a laptop and accessories as well as a wallet, filled with essential cards, before he fled. He was apprehended with the goods in his possession and handed over to Pinetown SAPS.

“The client opened a case and the suspect was charged,” said Jackson.
