Two injured in St John’s Avenue collision

The two patients were stabilised on scene and transported to hospital.

A COLLISION on St John’s Avenue by the M13 bridge just after 2pm this afternoon (Tuesday, 2 March) left two people with moderate injuries.

Advanced Life Support Paramedics spokesman, Garrith Jamieson said KZN VIP Medical Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles had collided on the bridge before one vehicle left the roadway and overturned onto the M13 below.

“A lady, believed to be in her late 40s, sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital,” said Jamieson

One person from the other vehicle also sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on the scene before being transported to hospital.

Jamieson added that SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further as the cause of the accident is not clear at this stage.
