UPPER Highway NPO, Hearts in Hands food bank (HiH) continues to reach out and help wherever they can as 2021 has had a slower start due to financial burdens, wage reductions and job losses suffered through lockdown.

The organisation recently donated food to Ikhwezi crèche in Embo.
Founder of Hearts in Hands Foodbank, Tracy Klokie said their ethos has always been ‘start where you are with what you have’.
“Deborah Shabalala, a remarkable and passionate young woman, who runs Ikhwezi crèche in Embo did just that and continues to do so to ensure the children in her care are looked after daily and that she makes a meaningful impact in their littles lives,” said Klokie.
She added that they would love to help everyone, but reality is they imply can not but they do endeavour to help wherever we can,” said Klokie.
