BE one of the first in South Africa to see the new big screen adventure, Tom and Jerry (PG V) at Nu Metro’s special pre-release screenings next Saturday and Sunday, 27-28 February 2021.

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited, when Jerry moves into New York Cityʼs finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. This time, they may just be forced to work together to save the day. Bookings are now open on the Nu Metro website or at the cinema.

Here are this weekend’s new movie releases at Nu Metro The Pavilion and Galleria Mall:

Songbird (16 LV)

If you missed the special Valentine’s Day screenings of Songbird last weekend, you can catch up on this gripping romantic thriller this Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It is the year 2024: the Covid virus has mutated, and the world is in its fourth year of lockdown. The infected are ripped from their homes and forced into quarantine camps known as Q-Zones, from which there is no escape, as a few brave souls fight back against the forces of oppression. Immune to the virus, a courier (KJ Apa) races against time to save the woman he loves (Sofia Carson) from imprisonment. The only way out is together.

Tuesdays and Fridays (PG)

Varun, a bestselling author, and Sia, an entertainment lawyer, both have their distinct way of looking at love. He doesn’t believe in long-term relationships… She comes up with a plan according to which they are in a relationship on only two days a week—Tuesdays and Fridays. On other days, they’re allowed to date whomever they choose. See the quirky romantic comedy, Tuesdays and Fridays this weekend.

Nu Metro cinemas are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and on public holidays – with all the required Covid-19 protocols in place to keep you safe.
