WHILE lounging outside by the pool at the weekend, a Westville family was accosted and robbed by a group of four armed criminals.
According to reports, the family was sitting on the veranda near the pool when the four suspects charged at them with guns.

They forced the family indoors. The father and son were tied up and the rest of the family was ordered to lie down on the floor.
The domestic worker was also on the property and brought into the house.
“After ransacking the home, taking numerous items including laptops, plasma TVs, a vacuum cleaner, cellphones, jewellery and watches, which were removed from the victims’ wrists, the gang fled,” said Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. Westville SAPS attended the scene of the crime and are investigating.
