The mother of the four puppies died three days ago.
A 10-YEAR-OLD boy from KwaNyuswa was quick to step in and to help look after four puppies when their mother passed away three days ago.
According to Ally du Plessis from Animal Antics Pet Rescue, the youngster requested his mom purchase Infacare baby formula so he could bottle feed the four two-week-old puppies.
Du Plessis said they received a plea for help from the family yesterday and the puppies, two girls and two boys, are now being cared for by the local non-profit company.
“They have been fed and are nice and warm and snug on a hot water bottle,” said Du Plessis.
She said that while they have stock at the moment, the organisation will need need more puppy milk soon.
“If anyone can donate towards this we would be grateful. They will also need to be dewormed in a week and vaccinated in a couple of weeks,” she said.
