Protesters shut down Kings Road

According to reports, the Department of Labour remains closed due to a deep clean.

A GROUP of angry protesters blocked the roads outside the Department of Labour this morning after they were told the offices would remain closed for a third day in a row.

Captain Bongumusa Manqele from Pinetown SAPS, said, “The people outside the Department of Labour wanted their money and when they arrived today they saw the offices were still closed.”

He noted the offices were closed for a deep clean and would be open again tomorrow.

According to Manqele, no injuries were reported and no arrests have been madem but Pinetown SAPS was on scene.
