Highway knitters bind charity and fun

This avid group of knitters meet once a week at the Kloof Country Club to knit goods for charity.

WITH the Covid-19 restrictions, the Kloof Library Knitters group, now known as the Highway Charity Knitters, has found a new home at the Kloof Country Club.

The team of dedicated women and avid knitters meet every Friday from 9am to 11am to knit and crochet. Using their own wool, or donated goods, they create a delightful array of goods, from teddy bears and sweaters to blankets and booties.

Once the items are complete, they are then donated to various local charity organisations in need.

If you would like to join the group, or make a monetary or in-kind donation of double knit wool, contact Linda on 082 851 2554. Donations can also be dropped off at the Kloof Library.
