“I just always wanted to give them something, the elders are special and very appreciative. Most of them do not get to spend Christmas with their families and so I want their day to be special,” she said.

Pitt, who has a heart for helping charity organisations, also volunteers her time on weekends at the Social Cause Agency in Pinetown.

Social Cause Agency is a charity shop in Pinetown which has 12 beneficiaries under them.

She thanked people who have donated thus far and appeal to the public to support her in reaching her goal of collecting 165 jars which will again be donated to the Elders Voice.
