Body of unknown man found in Wyebank, police search for relatives

The man, who is believed to be a can collector, was found at the corner of Fannin and California roads in Wyebank.

PINETOWN police are searching for the relatives of an unknown man who was found dead at the corner of Fannin and California roads in Wyebank on Monday, 9 November.

Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele said body was spotted by children who were playing on the road. 

“Police were called to the scene and found a man, estimated to be 35 years of age, wearing a yellow raincoat, black jeans and black safety boots.

“He is suspected to be a can collector as he was found with a bin bag half full of cans. He is also suspected to be from Sub 5,” said Manqele. Anyone who might know him can contact Pinetown SAPS on 031 325 5080 or Sergeant Nonhlanhla Zwane on 073 144 3779.
