Man shot and killed in Pinetown CBD while delivering fruits

A second man sustained a gunshot wound on his shoulder.

A 30-YEAR-OLD man was shot and killed this morning in the Pinetown CBD.

Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele said the man was with two other occupants in his bakkie.

“The man, who supplies fruits to the hawkers, stopped in Stanfield Lane to drop off fruits when an unknown man shot him,” said Manqele.

According to Manqele, the man died on the scene and one of the occupants was shot on the shoulder.

“A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened and no one has been arrested as yet,” he said.
