State vet offers free rabies inoculations

Rabies vaccination dates for Farningham Ridge, Sarnia, Malvern, Northdene, Queen and Dawncliffe.

THE state vet department will hold free rabies inoculations, starting from Monday, 9 November in Farningham Ridge, Sarnia, Malvern, Northdene, Queen and Dawncliffe, Westville.

Pet owners are urged to inoculate their cats and dogs against rabies of this inoculation campaign. Another rabies campaign will take place from Waterfall down to Westville, from 16 to 20 November and will be advertised in next week’s edition.

People are advised to wear masks. For enquiries, contact 031 328 9334.

Monday, 9 November – 9am to 10.30am at the Pineridge Pick n’ Pay Centre, Undercover Parking lot. From 11am to 12.30pm; Farningham Ridge Playlot; corner of Vivian and Caber Road.

Tuesday, 10 November – 9am to 10.30am, open space in Clover Crescent, Sarnia. From 11am to 12.30; Firwood sports Club, open space at the back entrance of club – corner of Cunningham Road and Montgomery Crescent.

Wednesday, 11 November – 9am to 10.30am, St Augustines Park – corner of St Augustines Road and Kemp Place. From 11am to 12.30pm; Queensburgh Sports Club, 60 Bowker Rd, Queensburgh.

Thursday, 12 November – 9am to 11am, Ridley Park Grounds – Holland Place. From 11.30am to 12.30pm; Escombe The Oaks – open space in Sandpiper Road, off Blundell Road.

Friday, 13 November – 9am to 11am, Dawncliffe, open space next to Westville Athletic Club -corner of Syringa Avenue and Maryvale Road.
