Man falls off a ladder in Pinetown, airlifted to hospital

Paramedics found the man with critical injuries.

A MAN, believed to be in his 50s, is in a critical condition after falling off a ladder in Mariannheights, Pinetown this morning, (Friday, 6 November).

Rowan Scandroglio from Rescue Care Paramedics, said paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man had sustained serious injuries.

“He was stabilised on the scene by Rescue Care Advanced Life Support Paramedics and placed on a manual ventilator. The Netcare 911 Aero Medical Helicopter, Netcare 8 was activated to airlift the man to hospital,” said Scandroglio.

He added that events leading to the incident are unknown at the moment.
