Support local empowerment project’s launch

GET Inspired, a local organisation that aims to empower differently persons, will host its official opening on Saturday, 31 October at the Quadpara Association, 19 Second Avenue in Ashley from 2pm to 5pm.

The project was founded by Grant Oosthuyzen, a disabled athlete and business owner, in September last year and it promotes the well-being of the disabled in the community by providing skills development programmes and workshops, such as arts and crafts, sports and woodwork, across Durban.

“We are very passionate about the disabled community as many of them are vulnerable and are unable to do able-bodied work. Our programmes instill a sense of pride and dignity in the lives of the disabled and it teaches them general skills as well as entrepreneurial abilities that may help them in the future,” said Oosthuyzen.

Go along to its official launch to hear more about the work the project does and for a chance to win prizes in a raffle. Food and beverages will be sold.
