Pinetown centre hosts concert in aid of local artists

There will be fun activities planned for the day, booking is essential to ensure that Covid protocols are adhered to.

JOIN fantastic jazz singer, Thulile Zama from Heels over Head and pianist, David Smith for an afternoon of music at the Pineville Junction on Saturday, 31 October.

This fundraising family concert, hosted by Ubuntu Wellness Project, aims to support local artists and farmers and to help cover renovation costs at the Pinetown hidden treasure, Pineville Junction. 

Pianist, David Smith will join Thulile Zama at a concert which will be held at the Pineville Junction.

“The aim is to build a caring and supportive community by creating spaces for healthy interaction outdoors,” said organiser, Hailey Fudu.

There will be fun activities planned and those in attendance can expect a costume competition and dance enthusiasts will get a chance to learn a group dance to Thriller and try the Jerusalema dance.

Fudu emphasised that this is a non-alcoholic event.

“Covid protocols will be observed and pre-bookings are essential to keep track of numbers,” she said.

Take picnic blankets, lawn chairs and comfortable shoes for the dance floor.

The concert will start at 2pm. Tickets cost R100 each for adults and R50 for children.
