ONE man has died and another seriously injured in a shootout on the M7, Pinetown bound, this afternoon.
According to Rescue Care’s Rowan Scandroglio, their paramedics, together with Redline Response, arrived on the scene to find an overturned vehicle down an embankment.
“One male, believed to be in his 30s, sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do for him. He was declared dead on scene. Another male, believed to be in his 40s, was down the embankment in a serious condition,” said Scandroglio.

He was stabilised on scene by Rescue Care’s advanced life support paramedics.
Using a specialised rope rescue system, set up by the Netcare 911 Rescue Unit and the SAPS Search and Rescue Unit, the injured man was to brought up to the main road.
SAPS were on the scene and are investigating.
