Westville Conservancy take out trash

“Thank you Andile and all the helpers who gave up their time to clear this eyesore.”

IT took the better part of a day for the Westville Conservancy’s Andile Nonzanga to collect a large pile of litter in a 100m² patch below the M13, adjacent to the eastbound on-ramp at Westville Junction.

Nonzanga climbed up and down the bank for hours in an attempt to clear this small slice of Westville.

The sheer amount of rubbish was too large for one person to clear up and reinforcements were called in.

The next day he was joined by PJ Storm, Helen Cannon, Henry Saile and Anthony Williamson and, together, they collected more than 80 bags of litter and 50 bags of organic debris.
