TWO men who were arrested for Westville housebreaking were sentenced to six years.
According to Westville SAPS communications officer, Capt Elizabeth Squires, Mawethu Sonele (35) and Sifiso Shezi (34) gained entry to a house on Burlington Drive through the roof.
Squires said a bar fridge was amongst the items taken.

A case of housebreaking and theft was opened at the station in October 2018.
“The case was allocated to Det/Sgt Thabani Masinga to investigate. Masinga’s investigations led him to a house in Chesterville where the fridge had been sold.”
Sonele and Shezi, who were later arrested, made several appearances in court before they were convicted and sentenced.
Squires also advised residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles even though the vehicle is locked in the garage.
She said this after Westville police noticed an increase in theft out of vehicles in garages.
