Hayden described Hilton as a loving, caring, wise, and giving man.
“He lived a happy life but above all, touched the hearts of so many with his generosity, love, and guidance. No words can describe the pain we endured by his passing.”
According to Hayden, his brother was a hard worker but also a very social person.
“He excelled in motorbiking, where he formed amazing friendships. More recently, he completed triathlons and mountain biking events. He made even more friends in the many cycle groups he was part of,” said Hayden.
Hilton lived on his treasured smallholding with the animals he adored and Chantal, his life partner, and soulmate.

“They trained almost daily together, running, swimming, and cycling. There wasn’t anything Hilton couldn’t fix, and there are fond memories of him building cars and bikes, and later in his life, running large manufacturing plants.”
Hayden said his brother who was fondly known as ‘Hill’ was always keen for a beer or three and enjoyed his fishing on Jozini with good friends.
“Hilton was loved by so so many special people and will be sadly missed. He leaves behind, his partner Chantal, his daughters Courtney and Michaella, his parents, Gail and Brian, his brother Hayden and lifelong friend, Paul.”
Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Capt Linzi Smith said no arrests have been made as yet.
