Kearsney boys rake in top achievements

One of the learners was awarded a scholarship from Rhodes University.

TWO of Kearsney College’s learners placed in the top 100 in the final round of the national De Beers English Olympiad.

Ben Oellermann was 42nd and the ninth placed boy in the country, while Matthew Strauss finished 76th and was the 12th boy.

For his outstanding result, Ben was offered a scholarship from Rhodes University for a year’s tuition in the course of his choice.

Both boys will receive a diamond certificate for a final exam mark above 80 percent.
