A TRESPASSER, who was seen fence-hopping in the Malvern area, was caught and arrested by Blue Security’s reaction officers yesterday afternoon.
“The control centre received a panic activation of a suspect breaking into a home in the area and two of our units responded,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.
The resident reported that a man broke into an outbuilding before he jumped the fence into a neighbour’s yard.
“A search began. The officers received additional reports of the suspect trespassing on other nearby properties, trying to evade arrest,” he said. “After a short chase, one of our reaction officers was successful in cornering and detaining the suspect. He was handed over to Malvern SAPS.”
Mathios said additional photographic evidence also linked the man to another home robbery in the area.
