A DECOMPOSED man’s body was found near Westwood Mall yesterday morning.
According to the spokesman for Westville SAPS, Captain Elizabeth Squires, the body was discovered by a man who was walking along the N2 in the direction of the local mall.
“He smelt a horrible odour and decided to see what it was. Upon walking closer, from a distance, he could see it was a body lying in the bush. He immediately contacted the police,” said Squires.

The call was made on 22 July at 7.20am and Westville SAPS, Durban Search and Rescue as well as Metro Police were dispatched.
“The body has not yet been identified and it was taken to the Pinetown Mortuary. An inquest docket is being investigated,” said Squires.
