Westville Lion’s president, Jenny Swingler said the society is one of the three organisations that benefit from the money made through their Christmas cake sales.

This was the second voucher from the sales given to the society.

“We always assist the society as they do good in the community. It is so sad though that because of the pandemic, we are not able to do our food collections outside supermarkets which we then donate to organisations and people in need,” said Swingler.

The cake sale money is also shared with the Salvation Army and an old age home in Westville.

Lunga Chiliza from the society said they truly appreciate the Westville Lions Club support.

“We will use the voucher to buy, baby items; food, nappies and formula.”The Pinetown Highway Child and Family Welfare Society is still up and running and Chiliza pleaded with people to continue supporting them as times are tough and there are many people that knock on their doors on daily basis needing assistance.
