Kloof grandmother, Jenny King’s murder case set to continue

It has been over 18 months since the King family lost the grandmother who lived in Kloof.

CHARLES Ridgway, the musician boyfriend of Jenny King, who is facing charges for her alleged murder, will be back in Pinetown Regional Court on 30 July.

It has been over 18 months now since the King family lost the grandmother who lived in Kloof.

Jenny King was found dead in her Forest Hills home in the early hours of Saturday, 12 January by her daughter.

Most of those close to her knew her as Jenny or Jen.

Both her son and daughter have worn black t-shirts with the words, ‘#JusticeForJen’ printed on the front at every court appearance.

Ridgway’s supporters have also come out in their numbers to show their support.

Family and friends of the victim and accused have previously expressed frustration at what they describe as the slow pace of the judicial system.

They were jubilant when the case was transferred to the regional court.

The pre-trial conference date set for April was set before the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdown affected the entire country including the courts.

Now, the latest date for the case to continue has been set for later this month when, many are hoping there will be some development in the case.
