Coordinator of RHF, Kim Griffith-Jones said they saw the SPCA’s appeal of food and blankets and decided to support them.

“Our foundation has a long-standing relationship with the SPCA and our chairlady, Cindy Norcott has a soft spot for furry friends,” said Griffith-Jones.

RHF has been busy in the last few months joining hands with other NPOs to assist in the communities during lockdown.Griffith-Jones said the lockdown restrictions have taken its toll on friends at the Kloof and Highway SPCA who also rely solely on the kindness and generosity of the community.

“I also wish to acknowledge Michael Boorman from MBC Enterprises SA for giving us a generous discount and thanks to the kindness of some generous donors as well, we were able to donate 670kgs of dog food,” said an ecstatic Griffith-Jones.

Kloof SPCA manager, Barbara Patrick said they are thankful for the donation. ‘

“It is because of generous organisations such the Robin Hood Foundation and individuals that we are able to do what we do.”

Although the SPCA has also been affected during these challenging times, Patrick said they have been able to go out to the communities to extend their services and support families of pet owners where they can.

She added even though times are tough, it has brought people together.

“The support has been amazing,” said Patrick.Griffith-Jones appeals for support as they move forward into this month with their Mandela Month of Miracles drive. People can email info@robinhoodfoundation.co.za for more information on how to get involved or donate R67 to this worthy cause.
