Highway Hospice Pinetown charity shop opens

The staff is looking forward to welcoming all their customers back and they will endeavour to keep them safe while shopping at the store.

THE Highway Hospice Pinetown Charity Shop is pleased to announce that its shop has been through a thorough sanitising and cleansing.

The shop has all Covid-19 protocols in place which has enabled them to resume operations from Monday, 11 May. Revised trading hours will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3pm and on Saturdays from 8.30am to noon.

“To ensure that these protocols are adhered to, temperature testing before entering the shop will be carried out. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5 degrees celsius will not be allowed access,” said Sheryll de Jager from the hospice.

She said social distancing will be adhered to, everyone must wear a mask or face covering and customers will be limited to 10 at a time.

“We would also like to request that customers provide their own shopping bags,” said Sheryll.

Donation drop-offs will be accepted and will be put aside to carry out the necessary sanitation before being sorted and priced for sale.

“We unfortunately cannot do any collections during this time.”

She added that they were looking forward to welcoming all their customers back and they will endeavour to keep them safe while shopping at the store.
