PHOTOS: Driver trapped as car overturns in Pinetown crash

Paramedics and the fire department are using the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to help free the man.

ONE person is trapped in a car that crashed into the fence of a company in Otto Volek Road in Pinetown. Paramedics are currently on scene.

Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care, said, “One vehicle has somehow lost control and crashed into the fence and came to rest on its roof.”

The driver is trapped in the wreckage and paramedics are stabilising the man under advanced life support care.

“The Durban Fire Department and Netcare 911 rescue are using the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to cut the man free,” said Jamieson

Traffic has been severely affected.
