Robin Hood Foundation is on a feeding mission

The foundation has put out a birthday challenge to raise R1 million.

THE Robin Hood Foundation continues to run its Hope is Contagious Covid-19 relief drive to distribute food and supplies to the community together with community partners.

The organisation, together with Zero to 5 Trust, Hearts in Hands Food Bank, Focus on Ithemba, KZN Valley Dogs, Heartstrings, Twinkle Star Foundation, Khulisani, Action in Isolation, Generation of Radicals and Christian Social Services have mobilised more than 30 tons of food and supplies to date throughout the greater Durban area and surroundings and even reached out to Bizana, Eastern Cape.

“We are on a mission to ramp up our outreaches,” said Robin Hood founder, Cindy Norcott.

Norcott said this is their 15th year of serving the community.

April and May 2020 is posing the biggest challenge that we have seen in our lifetimes and that is the pandemic of hunger.”

The foundation has put out a birthday challenge.

Norcott pleaded with the public to assist them raise R1 million in May so that they can expand their reach into the community.

“After generous donations from people and companies in our community, in this last week alone, we are already R200 000 closer to this goal,” said Norcott.
