No arrests for New Germany shooting

The driver of the vehicle was shot during the altercation but his crew were able to escape unharmed.

PINETOWN SAPS reports that no arrests have been made after a man delivering bread was shot in Regent Street on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, the driver (27) and his crew were delivering bread at tuck shops in Clermont when they were accosted by two armed men.

“Shots were fired and the driver sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital. The crew managed to escape,” said Manqele. 

A case of attempted murder was opened at the KwaDabeka police station and no arrests have been made.
