Residents reach out to pet rescue team with food donations

Samantha de Wet and Aleanna Du Plessis have been requesting for dog food donations on the Animal Antics Facebook page.

THE Botha’s Hill based non-profit organisation (NPO), Animal Antics Pet Rescue visited the Mandela Valley recently to donate much-needed dog food to the community’s dog owners.

The NPO’s Samantha de Wet and Aleanna Du Plessis had been requesting dog food donations through the organisation’s Facebook page.

“We can get an 8kg bag of dog food for R85 a bag. If you are able to assist please do. We will order and they will deliver to us. If you have any questions or would like to pay straight to the supplier please let us know and we will get the banking details for the supplier,” read a Facebook post.

Local dog owner, Nobuhle Mhlongo, thanked the rescuers for their kind efforts.

“I’ll take this opportunity to thank Debbie Moss, Sam and the great team for their worked. They helped feed our fur babies. At a stage, I had about 20 dogs that needed to be fed,” said Nobuhle in a Facebook post.
