CPF donate hand sanitisers, gloves and masks to Hillcrest SAPS

Hillcrest SAPS are grateful for the donations they've received from local organisations/companies.

The people at Hillcrest Police Station are essential frontline workers during this Covid-19 lockdown and they were lucky enough to receive hand-sanitisers, gloves and masks that have been donated by their Community Policing Forum (CPF), Hillcrest Business Watch and Oxford Freshmarket.

“Hillcrest Police Station would like to extend our extreme gratitude to our CPF, Hillcrest Business Watch and Oxford Freshmarket who mobilised when the call came through from the station for assistance with hand-sanitiser, gloves and masks,” said Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Captain Linzi Smith.

“Oxford Freshmarket donated 1000 gloves to Hillcrest Business Watch and offered a 10 per cent discount on all items (excluding promotional items) to all frontline workers,” said Captain Smith.

“We would also like to thank The Westriding Community for donating four 5L hand-sanitisers to the station. The masks are currently on order,” she said.

“It is extremely essential that we all take this virus seriously,” emphasised Captain Smith.

“There are still people going about their normal days work and shopping for non-essential items. This virus is spreading quickly and deaths have now been recorded in KZN. We are urging the community to adhere to the Presidential instruction of lockdown and stay at home,” she said.
