Music teacher nominated for Artist of the Year

JOHN Wesley’s talented music teacher, Msa Mahlangu, has been nominated for the City Awards, Artist of the Year title.

The City Awards is a chain of award shows across South Africa which celebrates and uplifts the achievements of local individuals in 15 different categories across the entertainment industry.

Nominees stand the chance to win a fully sponsored trip, radio tours, marketing contracts and much more.

Mahlangu said he was honoured to have been nominated as the Artist of the Year.

“This has added a lot of value to what one does and is definitely opening massive doors,” he said.

Mahlangu recently recorded his very first live CD and DVD recordings at UKZN Howard College Jubilee Hall and he is looking forward to releasing his first single from the live recording soon.

“I am pleading with friends, fans and supporters to continue looking out for that on all my social media platforms as well as the upcoming full album.”

The Durban City Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 25 July at the Pinetown Civic Centre.
