If you are renting or do not receive municipal bills you can also use a bank statement; a utility, clothing, furniture, cellphone or Telkom account, a medical aid statement, a signed lease agreement or a councillor’s letters for individuals who stay in informal settlements or RDP houses. An affidavit confirming your address is also acceptable.

These documents can not be older than three months.

Please also have your ID or driver’s licence at hand.
