The purpose of the walk was to raise awareness for Autism and it started in Waterfall and ended up in Umhlanga, going via Ushaka.

This event is growing and event organiser, Gerard Metzer, said he expects a field of 100 walkers to take part in 2021.

“The school is very grateful for this donation and will be putting the funds to good use for the benefit of the children,” said Jane Noble, income development director for The Browns’ School.

Browns’ School caters for children with cerebral palsy, specific learning disabilities, and autism, and currently has 361 children enrolled.

“These children benefit enormously from the services provided by the school, and extra funds are always needed,” said Noble.
