This week in the Queensburgh News: What stories appear in this week’s paper

In this week's Queensburgh News there are two tributes to people who, although gone, will not be forgotten by the community in which they made such an impression; Maureen Paige-Green, and Charles van Heerden.

QUEENSBURGH is in mourning for a man who was well loved for his generous and kind nature.

Charles van Heerden, died in hospital on Friday, January 31, after having been shot in what has been described as a “botched home invasion” on the evening of Tuesday, 28 January at his home in Northdene.

The Queensburgh News this week features a story about who Charlie, as he was known by so many people, was and how his legacy will continue in the stories people share about him.

Another story which features in this week’s paper is a round up of the incidents which have taken place on the M7, which runs through the community, in the past few months which had led to the road living up to its nickname, “death trap”.

The highway also features in the story about the repairs which have finally been done on the M7 bridge which passes over St Augustines Road into Mosley.
