A WOMAN believed to be in her thirties has died in the M7 collision this morning (Friday, 7 February).

“Two people were severely entrapped in the wreckage and the Jaws of Life had to be used to free them. A woman, believed to be in her early thirties, had sustained major injuries and unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for her and she was declared dead on the scene.”

According to Jamieson, four more people, including a 15-year-old girl, were injured.

“The four patients sustained minor to critical injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.

Traffic is severely affected and SAPS is on scene to investigate the cause of the collision,” said Jamieson.
