Knowles SPAR grows new Bean Tree Cafe

The restaurant will be closed from 3 to 9 February during the refurbishment.

THE popular SUPERSPAR Knowles restaurant of 44 years, The Nibble and Natter, is being refurbished and transformed into a modern, upmarket restaurant, The Bean Tree Cafe.

The Bean Tree concept is part of the SPAR brand and will be rolled out to a number of stores according to SUPERSPAR Knowles’ owner, Roy Sheodin.

“Heading the transformation is manageress of the restaurant, Tash Stenson, who has done numerous look-and-learn experiences and has set up a wonderful plan for the new restaurant,” Roy said.

The menu has been updated to include healthy meal options but will retain old favourites such as the traditional breakfast to appeal to everyone from the millennials and Gen-Z youth to families and seniors.

Quality ingredients sourced from the store and products from suppliers, personally approved by Roy, will ensure a high standard of meals prepared by two chefs with 12 years’ experience. There has also been intensive staff training.

Businessmen and women will find the new restaurant to be a welcome haven between appointments where they can enjoy a great cup of the delectable Italian coffee blend, Lavazza, a tasty snack and take advantage of the restaurant’s WiFi facility.

The new spacious restaurant will also attract families and friends as it will be a great place to come and relax and enjoy a delicious meal together and is a bonus to the shopping experience.

Pensioners’ day and the free coffee, tea and cake, will still be on Tuesdays. The restaurant will be closed until 19 February.

The restaurant will open from 7am to 7pm on weekdays and from 7am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The restaurant will be closed from 3 to 9 February during the refurbishment.
