UPDATE: Woman shot and dumped on the M7 dies in hospital

The woman was found with multiple gunshot wounds on her chest, arm and abdomen.

THE woman who was shot multiple times and dumped on the M7 freeway has died in hospital.

According to Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics, the woman died due to the severity of her injuries.

The woman was rushed to hospital last week Monday, (13 January) in a critical condition.

According to KZN police spokesperson, Col Thembeka Mbele, the 30-year-old woman was found by a motorist lying in the middle of the M7, towards Pinetown, with multiple gunshot wounds on her chest, arm and abdomen.

It was reported that the woman was allegedly shot inside an unknown vehicle and dumped in the middle of the road. The suspect then fled the scene.
