IEB matric results: St Benedict School
Head of high school, Sean Topper said the school is extremely satisfied with the overall results and wished the class of 2019 all the best for their future career paths,
ST Benedict School is extremely happy to celebrate the successful culmination of 12 years of schooling with its matric class of 2019.
The students performed very well in the challenging Independent Examination Board (IEB) matric examinations with 97 per cent of the class passing and only one student not qualifying for a certificate.

“Most pleasing was the 83 per cent Bachelors Degree (university) pass rate and 14 per cent Diploma pass meaning all students who passed may enter for tertiary studies in 2020.
“It is also really satisfying to see that all the hard work and the solid foundation set over the past 12 years has paid off and has resulted in two thirds of all individual subject results being above 70 per cent,” said head of high school, Sean Topper.
The 2019 Dux student, Dominique Strydom, achieved 6A’s and 1B with Jade Campbell being rewarded with 5A’s and 2B’s and Jordan Vardaya coming third with 4A’s.
“Considering the nature of our small school and the demands on students to perform academically, culturally, on the sports field and spiritually, we are extremely satisfied with the overall results and wish our class of 2019 all the best for their future career paths,” said Topper.
