Kloof welcomes its own Christmas corner

WITH the generosity of businesses, The Kloof Project has been able to realise its dream of providing the Kloof community with its own special Christmas Corner.

The group has made use of an open section of pavement and installed a 4.5-metre high tree using a pole provided by Poles Galore.

The strings are held in position with reinforcing bar pegs made up by RMS at Giba Gorge Business Park (along with a welded star) and the piece de resistance, a generous amount of colourful fairy lights from ACDC Dynamics electrical distributors in Pinetown.

The Kloof Baptist Church congregation took on the challenge and built a nativity scene alongside the tree by using a uniquely different and modern 2D approach.

In support of the spirit of the season, their talented band of young players have offered to perform at the site, on a set evening before Christmas, which will be publicised on The Kloof Project’s Facebook page.

To provide the site with constant power would be a challenge, but Alcocks Services Group bought into the concept and generously provided a complete installation, with power provided courtesy of Stoker’s Arms. The entire installation has been guarded each evening by the local JAG Security team.

“Ensure your family pays the area a visit this festive season and use it as a wonderful photo venue right on your doorstep,” said the Kloof Project’s Sandra Wickee.
