Dance with joy at green festival

The pre-Christmas festival allows visitors to browse for authentic gift ideas, healthy food options, recycled/up-cycled items, decorations and festive treats.

PARTICIPANTS and volunteers are getting ready to enjoy a glorious festive season day-long Peace and Living Green Festival at the Inanda Dam, this Sunday, 8 December.

The pre-Christmas festival allows visitors to browse for authentic gift ideas, healthy food options, recycled/up-cycled items, decorations and festive treats.

Hosted by Wushwini Pan African Centre, the festival will feature organic food court, eco fashion exhibits, hands on DIY workshops, live music, video art, organic beer and wine garden, presentations by green and sustainable businesses and organisations, Kids Green Zone, good green deeds corner, crafts corner and theatre; and a display of organic vegetables and fruits from the farmers and rural community of youth and women.

Performers include Professor, DJ Boonu, Ernie Smith, Madala Kunene, Mbuso Khoza, Naima Kay, Natalie Rungan, UKZN Jazz Ensemble, Ralf Gum, Abanqobi, Amahle, King Nexo, Mnqobi Yazo, Mxolisi Mbali, Sheila the Blue Note and Simtha Mtolo.
