SASSA urges beneficiaries to use grant money wisely during festive season

SASSA has provided tips for beneficiaries to help them protect their cash during the festive season.

South African Social Security Agency has urged all SASSA beneficiaries to use their social grant money wisely during the festive season.

In addition to the warning, SASSA also reminded beneficiaries that the social grant payment is not meant for luxury purchases or to pay back loan shark debt, but must be utilised to pay for basic needs.

Parents and legal guardians for child support grant beneficiaries must remember that the social grant is not meant for their needs but for the child’s needs. The child must have proper clothing and nutritious food.
