Queensburgh model set her sights on New York City

QUEENSBURGH teen Caitlyn Govender is months away from realising her modeling dream in New York City.

The 14 year-old recently auditioned for the 33 AND ME talent directors, Elsubie Verlinden and Elouise J V Rensburg and was scouted for the International Model and Talent Association in New York in July 2020.
Caitlyn is a Grade 9 learner at Queensburgh Girls’ High School and draws inspiration from her sister, Christine who also has modelling aspirations.
“I have always had a passion for acting but I was too shy to ever try it nd thought modelling could be the best fit for my personality,” she said.
Caitlyn will get an opportunity to be auditon for international scouts including; Joey Hunter, Co- founder of Ford Models in New York City, casting director Rhavynn Drummer from the Tyler Perry Studio, Nate Butler, Casting Director for X Factor. a junior casting producer for the Steve showcase Kids say the darnest things, Blaze Johnson from The Voice America and Blake Bubbile from the New York Film Academy

“The only way to discover the limits of the possibilities is to go beyond them into the impossible – in so saying – I keep my feet on the ground and my thoughts at lofty high, take pride in hard work, consistency and always be humble,” she said.
