Hillcrest soccer players represent KZN

This was the first time that four of the five learners represented KZN for soccer, except for Gareth Chapman who has represented his province previously, including playing in the U19A KZN team at the age of 17.

HILLCREST High School had no less than seven players selected as KZN representatives at the annual soccer tournament in Johannesburg recently.

Unfortunately, two of the learners were unable to represent the province due to financial reasons but five were able to represent their school and province.

This was the first time that four of the five learners represented KZN for soccer, except for Gareth Chapman who has represented his province previously, including playing in the U19A KZN team at the age of 17.

Coach Garth Lawrence, said “I think it’s a big achievement for our Hillcrest High School soccer boys to have accomplished and a testament to how our soccer has developed so successfully and we are hoping for even more next year.”
