Seven injured in M19 accidents

A secondary accident involving two vehicles occurred due to the traffic back log.

A SERIOUS multiple vehicle accident on the M19, both Pinetown and Durban bound, left seven people injured and a car destroyed, after it caught alight on impact this morning, Tuesday, 5 November.

According to Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson, the first accident happened near the Blair Atholl off-ramp.

“Two vehicles collided on the Durban bound carriageway and one of the vehicles ended up on the oncoming traffic lane, Pinetown bound. A total of five people have been injured with two sustaining serious injuries,” he said.

A secondary accident involving two vehicles occurred due to the traffic back log and two people were injured.

“The traffic has eased up but SAPS is still on scene investigating,” he added.
