Sne empowers SA’s women

Kloof High School's SPAR Star of the Month - October 2019.

KLOOF High School’s SPAR Star of the Month is its deputy head girl for 2020, Sne Dlamini.

Sne launched the Like a Boss Foundation at 16 years old and aims to empower young women, put a stop to bullying as well as body shaming. In mid October Sne organised a Girls Talk event at the school.

Another objective of the foundation is to partner up with similar organisations and host sanitary pad drives and school shoe drives to provide these much-needed items to less fortunate girls.

“I want to make a change in the world and have a positive impact in the school I go to,” said an ambitious and driven Sne. “I want to create an environment where girls can support each other instead of bringing each other down. I want us girls to respect each other and to feel inspired and motivated to be the best that we can be. I want us girls to treat each other as sisters because we are a family. I want to leave Kloof High knowing that I made a positive impact and left a mark at a school that’s meant so much to me.”

Over and above this, Sne also plays for the school’s 1st girls’ soccer team, is a brilliant academic and dramatic arts learner and is a member of the Eco club.
