Remember the fallen on Poppy Day

Members from the SA Legion and MOTHs will be selling poppies in malls across the Highway area to raise funds for those in need who served in uniform.

TO commemorate Poppy Day on Saturday, 9 November, MOTHs and members of the SA Legion will be selling poppies in shopping malls across the Highway area.

The MOTHs and SA Legion will be at Field’s Centre, Kloof Village Mall, Oxford, Christian’s Village, Hillcrest Corner, Watercrest Mall, Shongweni Farmers Market and Richdens Village Centre from 8am to 1pm.

“We will be promoting donations for a poppy to be worn with pride in remembrance of those who died in battle. The money goes to those in need who have served in uniform,” said Gordon Harrower of the Highway Shellhole and the SA Legion.

The cost per poppy is a donation of any amount. To assist with selling poppies to the public, contact Gordon on 082 881 3032.
