Careways fund-raiser offers lots of goodies

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month so people can learn a lot about Careways and the services they offer.

KIDS corner, a tea garden, craft stalls, live music, delicious food, arts and books are among the many wonderful items people can buy at Careways Market Day on Saturday, 26 October from 8am to noon and everyone is invited.

Careways is a workshop for mentally challenged adults based at the Kloof Methodist Church, 4 Park Lane, Kloof.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

Careways manager, Tina Smith, said members are looking forward to this day as they have made arts and crafts including table runners and candles to be sold on the day. Visitors will also get a chance to tour the centre.

“There will be so many items and stalls on the premises and inside the church hall. October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month so people can learn a lot about Careways and the services we offer,” Smith said.
