All welcomed at Headway-Natal’s open day

Commemorate World Stroke Day with headway-Natal by taking part in its informative open day.

IN commemoration of World Stroke Day, Headway-Natal, 11 Menston Road in Westville, invites Highway residents to its Open Day on Wednesday, 30 October from 9.30am.

From 9.30am to 10.30am there is a presentation by Headway therapists on the causes, effects and treatment of a stroke.

Dr Karisha Quarrie will talk about The importance of Rehab for a Stroke Patient from 10.30am to 11am and Sister Mary Ann Bernon, an advanced wound care and stoma therapist, will talk from 11am to 11.30am.

Blood tests will be done by sisters from the Westville Life Hospital for free from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

In-kind donations such as linen, kitchenware, clothing and books, are welcome.

The non-profit organisation’s coffee bar and charity shop will be open on the day.
