VIDEO: Paramedic rescues terrified puppy in Kloof
Netcare911 employee rescued a puppy from Kloof Memorial Park.
A STRAY puppy has been rescued by a Netcare 911 rescue technician, Conrad Jones, who was on his way to work on Friday morning.
The puppy was spotted at the Kloof Memorial Park. Jones swiftly notified the Blue Security support team, who responded to assist.
“The dog was very timid and evasive when he (Conrad Jones) tried to get the doh out.
The dog took refuge underneath his vehicle and wouldn’t come out,” said Blue Security’s Media Liason, Andreas Mathios, who arrived on scene 15 minutes after he received the call from the rescue technician.
“I bought along dog food with me, which I carry in my car in case of situations like this,” said Mathios who added: “We tried to lure the dog out but it was very elusive and growled at me. The dog was in very bad condition, with a patchy coat; a very bad case of mange.”

Mathios then notified the Kloof SPCA, who sent out two of their inspectors to the scene, who arrived 15 minutes after the call.
“We came in at different angles to try and win the trust of the dog and it eventually submitted to Conrad Jones. It was put into a transport cage and taken to the Kloof SPCA for treatment.”
The puppy will be put up for adoption and the Kloof SPCA will kindly handle any adoption inquiries.
